The Pakistani team leaves for England for a series of three Tests and three T20 matches, which does not include the 10 players who tested positive for Corona.
The 29-member squad for the tour of England was initially announced, but tests of the announced players confirmed the corona in 10 players and a staff member.
The Pakistani team leaves for England on a special chartered flight this morning and the national team was taken to the airport under tight security.
At the airport, national team players can be seen wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
Before leaving for England, Azhar Ali, captain of the national Test team, said, “Our eyes are on the series against England which will be the first cricket activity of the national team after the outbreak of the coronavirus.”
“After this difficult time, all the players are very excited. The tour of England is always very challenging but our performance in England on the last two tours has been very encouraging and we will try to repeat them,” he said.
Pakistan drew 2-2 against England in 2016 and 1-1 in a two-match series in 2018.
After arriving in England, the national team will spend two weeks in isolation before starting preparations, after which the national team will play two four-day matches before the first Test.
Remember that the 10 players who tested positive, will be allowed to join the national team after two negative tests.
The national team will play three Tests and three T20I matches in England.
